Shit happens, Life goes on...

This is my first tattoo (: I just got it done yesterday (5.9.12) at Dark Side in Spartanburg, SC.
It says “Simplicity”.
It comes from Ricky Olson’s (Motionless in White) writing. In one of his blogs, he said…“Simply watching clouds pass can be pure ecstasy in the right state of mind.”
While I was in college, I was having a difficult time, emotionally. I was more depressed than ever. I couldn’t find a way out of the rut. Then I found Ricky’s blogs and his writing changed my view on life, and helped me a lot. When I read that line on Ricky’s blog, it stunned me. I gave it a try, and I felt so at peace, so happy. I knew right then I wanted something along those lines.
So my tattoo represents that line, my admiration for Ricky and his writing, and also it means: My key to happiness are the simple things in life. Hence, simplicity.
I also had a great time getting my tattoo, my tattoo artist was absolutely amazing! I plan on getting another one within a few weeks. <3
